Terms of Use
Welcome to Craft A World. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Craft A World website, platform, tools, map-generation services, templates, generated maps, documentation, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using Craft A World, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. About Craft A World
Craft A World is a pre-alpha platform for creating, editing, and generating game-world map templates and pseudo-maps. The platform is intended to help game creators define map visions, entities, biomes, constraints, relationships, and generation rules.
The platform is currently under active development and is not a stable production product.
2. Pre-Alpha Status
Craft A World is currently provided in pre-alpha form.
This means:
- Features may be incomplete.
- Bugs may occur.
- Generated maps and templates may be lost.
- The platform may behave unexpectedly.
- The user interface, data model, generation logic, APIs, and product behavior may change at any time.
- Database schema changes and other breaking changes may be introduced.
- Maps, templates, or other generated data may become unusable in future versions.
- No data converters, migration tools, compatibility layers, or recovery tools are guaranteed.
By using the platform, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
3. Free Access During Pre-Alpha
During the pre-alpha period, Craft A World is currently provided free of charge.
Maps and templates generated during this period are intended to remain free and accessible indefinitely. However, because the platform is in pre-alpha, we do not guarantee that any map, template, configuration, account data, or generated output will remain available, usable, compatible, or recoverable.
Accidental deletion, data corruption, breaking changes, or loss of access may occur.
4. SDK Status
The Craft A World SDK is currently under development.
Although the platform is intended to support rendering generated pseudo-maps in game engines such as Unity, the SDK is not yet in a generally shippable form and may not currently be available for user testing.
Any references to SDK functionality describe intended, planned, experimental, or in-development capabilities unless explicitly stated otherwise.
5. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account to access certain features.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information where required.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activity that occurs through your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these Terms, attempt to compromise the platform, or interfere with other users.
6. User Content
You may create, submit, upload, generate, or edit content through the platform, including map descriptions, templates, constraints, entities, generated maps, feedback, and form submissions.
You retain ownership of your original content.
By using the platform, you grant Craft A World a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, reproduce, modify, and display your content solely as needed to operate, improve, debug, secure, and develop the platform.
7. Generated Maps and Templates
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use maps and templates generated through Craft A World for personal, commercial, testing, prototyping, and game-development purposes.
However, because the platform is in pre-alpha:
- We do not guarantee uniqueness of generated maps.
- We do not guarantee that outputs are error-free.
- We do not guarantee that outputs will be suitable for any specific game, engine, pipeline, commercial use, or production environment.
- We do not guarantee future compatibility with the platform, SDK, APIs, or data formats.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or compromise the platform.
- Use the platform to generate unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful content.
- Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful files.
- Interfere with other users' access to the platform.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use the service in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
9. Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feature requests, you allow Craft A World to use them without restriction or compensation.
This includes using feedback to improve the platform, develop features, change product direction, or create commercial products.
10. No Warranties
Craft A World is provided "as is" and "as available."
We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of reliability, availability, accuracy, performance, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or compatibility with any future version.
You use the platform at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Craft A World and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes damages related to:

12. Changes to the Platform
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice.
This includes changing features, removing features, changing generation behavior, modifying APIs, changing data models, limiting access, or discontinuing support for existing maps or templates.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the site, by email, or through another reasonable method. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
